Nicole A. Wedberg

Welcome!

I am working on my MA in psychology at SUNY New Paltz.  My research interests are in evolutionary psychology with a particular focus on human mating strategies.  Additionally, I am the current assistant for the Evolutionary Studies program at SUNY New Paltz, and I am the supervisor for the New Paltz Evolutionary Psychology lab.

MY LATEST RESEARCH

Research for my Master's thesis is underway - I am testing predictors of what I call partner insurance for individuals involved in committed romantic relationships.  I am also involved in several other research projects including the evolutionary psychology of bullying behavior, the evolutionary theory behind cultural variations in attitudes of homosexuality, and expanding on Bateman's principal by exploring variability among males across several domains.
